Such an exciting time!! We opened our farmstand yesterday. Finally. The building I’ve been wanting and wanting for a few years has finally been built for our stand and its so adorable! Our dear Amaish neighbors built it. My son and I put up all the shelves. I lovingly stocked it with soaps and lotions I’ve made in my own kitchen. I’ve teamed up with a favorite friend and neighbor to get plants and veggies to sell – I am selling some from his greenhouses and some from mine.

I’ve been working since March to grow in our basement under heat lamps and on heat mats. The weather here is NOT cooperating but I’m still feeling confident that I’ll have some flowers to be able to sell some cut flower bouquets this year. Maybe not the volume that I wanted, but I WILL have them.

My first year as a flower farm is wet and soggy and rainy and just gross outside. They said on the news this morning that we haven’t had a dry weekend since Nov 15-18, 2024. That’s 6 months of wet weekends!! Crazy!!!

Pray for sun, we need it. Not sweltering sun, just warm sun 🙂
