What about COCONUT OIL? Coconut oil is great because it softens your skin, retains moisture and hydrates your skin too! It also reduces redness and soothes irritated skin. Best of all, it contains antioxidants!

People ask me all the time about the olive oil in our soap. Like the olive oil I cook with??? Yup!

What??? 🙂 Here’s why… Olive oil helps make a solid, long lasting soap with a gentle cleansing lather, suitable for all skin types including sensitive skins. High in Oleic acid, soaps made with olive oil will help to condition and soften your skin.

So what is Oleic acid? It’s an omega-9 that helps reduce inflammation!! Good stuff, right?!

Ahhh shea butter is probably my favorite ingredient! Why? Shea butter is amazing stuff!! Shea Butter moisturizes skin, reduces inflammation, promotes healing, and protects against free radicals. Shea butter has inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help reduce pain, swelling, and boost the immune system. Shea butter is a safe ingredient for sensitive skin, and its free of harmful chemicals. Its all the good, none of the bad and makes your skin feel sooo good!

We have 1 soap (Breakfast Bar) that contains honey. Its a very gentle bar that many people buy to use as a face bar. Honey is absolutely amazing. It promotes healing, gently exfoliates, is antibacterial, rich in antioxidants, adds moisture and its also very soothing. Honey is absolutely a wonderful ingredient to soap! We are absolutely blessed to have wonderful neighbors at Miller Farm who have an apiary and we buy all our fresh honey from them. We use their honey in our Breakfast Bar soap. I know that when you eat local honey, its always better for you because it exposes you to trace amounts of pollen and can help build allergy immunity. I’m not sure if the same is true if you use it externally in soap, but it certainly can’t hurt, right?! We love the honey we get from Miller Farm and always stock up. I use it in baking, tea, soap etc.
