
Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
6 medium apples, cored and sliced. I prefer to peel mine but this is a personal preference
2 TBSP granulated sugar
1 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon divided
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup oats
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter cut into small cubes
pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray or butter an 8×8 baking dish and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add apples, white sugar, 3/4 tsp cinnamon and lemon juice. Combine well then pour into baking dish.
In a separate bowl add topping ingredients- brown sugar, oats, flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt and butter. Use a fork to cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles a crumby texture. Use a downward twisting motion to do this.
Spread the topping over the apples in the baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake 40-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Serve warm and enjoy. We like to serve this with Vanilla ice cream!
